Our Make & Sustain kids classes are a perfect activity to keep inquisitive wee ones busy for an hour whilst engaging them on environmental sustainability and human rights issues, in a fun and age appropriate way. Kids are welcome to join in from age 2 and up (younger ones can of course be in attendance). Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Our staff member Jess will be running the sessions. She is DBS checked, has an HNC in Social Care, experience working on outdoor learning activities with children, and has completed an apprenticeship in horticulture. She was also recognised as The Princes' Trust Apprentice of the Year in 2018 as well as winning the Association for Public Service Excellence Rising Star Award in 2019.
The format of each session is the same so that kids have the familiarity of knowing what comes next. Each session, however, has a unique theme and activity.
- Welcome & Introduction
- Ice breaker game
- Learning Outcomes
- Mindfulness Exercise
- Goodbye Game

All classes take place in our Kirkcaldy Shop at 6 Tolbooth Street (the wee road that runs between the Mercat Carpark and the High Street). Spaces for each class are limited to ten children per session. There will be three sessions for each activity at 9:30am, 11:00am and 12:30pm. You can select your chosen session when you check out, subject to availability. All bookings will be confirmed via email. Please ensure that you enter an email address when checking out so that we can keep you updated on the session information.
