Clava is named after the prehistoric burial cairns of Balnuaran of Clava a few miles from the Connage Highland Dairy family farm in the Scottish Highlands. Their circular ring structure is mirrored in this brie style cheese.

The smooth, pasturised creamy, quite strong earthy organic brie is delicious. As it ripens, Clava becomes silky and at its best when the texture has become soft and luscious. To achieve excellent results, we hand ladle the very delicate curd into moulds and mature carefully in a temperature controlled store before being individually hand wrapped.

“ Clava brie is a mild and engaging cheese. With hidden depths of bitterness and coolness it can be best eaten either straight from a chilled fridge or left to ripen to bring out its funky, buttery taste and unique grassy flavor. ” -(The List,2014)
