Postage, Packaging, Deliveries & Returns


We pride ourselves on being as environmentally friendly as possible with our packaging and processes.  We work with suppliers who share our passion for people and the environment.  Plastic reduction is a hugely important part of our mission but wherever possible we will reuse packaging that has been sent to us so if you find some plastic in your parcel that is the reason why.  We also have to protect the integrity of our products when shipping and we are continually evolving and improving as we venture through this zero waste journey with you.  At the present time the pouches for our store cupboard ingredients are shipped in recyclable PE pouches so that they can be heat sealed to prevent explosions of flours and the like during transit.  We appreciate that this isn't ideal but they can be returned to us for reuse or they make excellent snack and sandwich pouches, or for storing things in the fridge or freezer being food safe, standable, able to store liquids and with their ziplock tops.  When they absolutely cannot be used any more they can be included in your usual recycling collection.

Postal Orders (UK Only at present)

We aim to process and pack orders within 48 hours and we ship twice a week at present on Mondays and Thursdays. 

  • Parcels up to 2kg are sent via royal mail second class and cost £3.50.
  • Parcels up to 4kg are sent via royal mail second class and cost £7 (but will be shipped as two small parcels as that is more cost effective than a medium parcel).
  • Parcels over 4kg and up to 30kg are sent via parcelforce and cost £10.



Deliveries take place for all postcodes on a Monday. 

We work with a local delivery driver who offsets his emissions so that he can offer a carbon neutral service. If you are ordering a bulk flour sack of 10kg or more, the £5 charge automatically applies regardless of where we are delivering due to the extra work, space and weight. 

  • KY3 = £2.50
  • KY1, KY2, KY4, KY5, KY11 = £4.00
  • KY6, KY7, KY12= £5.50

Orders place by Sunday noon can be guarantee for the next delivery day (subject to any stock shortages). After those times we will do our absolute best to fit you in for the next slot but cannot guarantee it. 


We gladly accept returns and exchanges on all non exempt items.  Just contact us within 14 days of deliver and return items back within a further 14 days.  Please ensure that you send items back in their original packaging and mark your parcel returns.  You are able to cancel your order within 24 hours provided that it hasn't yet been shipped. Please think carefully before you order as returns are costly for us as a small business, time consuming to process, and create a huge and unnecessary carbon footprint annually.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, we cannot accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
